Assistant Relationship Manager – Banking

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager partners with a Relationship Credit Manager to support thorough credit assessments for specialist‑industry customers. This permanent position is based in Dalby and contributes to the bank’s purpose‑driven culture while helping customers achieve their financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a well‑managed portfolio that complies with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Control workflows across compliance and customer fulfilment processes.
• Act in the best interest of the customer, applying a customer‑centric approach.
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customers’ business and financial needs.
• Provide appropriate solutions for account maintenance and simple customer requests.
• Support the management of a portfolio of specialist customers.
• Collaborate with product partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customer needs.
• Engage specialist teams when required.

Required profile

• Customer solutioning: understand needs and inform customers about relevant products or services.
• Credit analysis: assess ability to meet credit obligations using the 5 Cs of credit.
• Relationship management: build, maintain and influence relationships for mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Compliance and policy management: interpret laws, codes and standards to create and manage policies and procedures.
• Data analysis and interpretation: collect, profile and analyse data to generate insights for business decisions.
• Quality assurance: ensure solutions are viable through rigorous testing with a customer‑centric focus.
• Ability to support credit approval activities with proficiency in credit assessment and management.
