Assistant Project Manager

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of assigned project activities within Turner & Townsend's real‑estate practice in Canberra. This role involves document control, policy application and assisting senior managers with reporting and risk monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in development and delivery of project activities, including policy, procedures, business cases and contracts.
• Maintain document control for all project information, deliverables and drawings.
• Assist the Senior Project Manager and Project Director with cost reporting, programme monitoring, service provider performance, risk register updates and quality assurance.
• Support bid preparation for future regional work, coordinating with risk teams overseas.

Required profile

• Recognised degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cost Management or related field.
• 2‑8 years of project management experience, preferably client‑side or consulting.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment and strong written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Primavera scheduling software (highly regarded).
