Assistant Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to help keep Hotel Victor buzzing and loved by locals and visitors. Based in Victor Harbor with stunning views of Encounter Bay, you’ll support daily operations in a modern bar, restaurant, and accommodation venue.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with locals and guests, becoming a familiar face.
• Support the Publican in running the pub smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe.
• Learn publican duties while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Proactively address issues before they become problems.
• Maintain high energy, service standards, and a positive atmosphere each shift.

Required profile

• Experience working in bars, bistros, or similar hospitality venues, with some supervisory duties.
• Learned from strong managers and ready to step up to a leadership role.
• Confident, personable, and able to represent the pub when the manager is away.
• Current RSA and RSG/RCG certifications as required by state regulations.
