Assistant Manager – Hospitality Venue

About the role

We are seeking a driven Assistant Manager to run the floor of a high‑volume venue on Brisbane’s south side. You will lead a large crew, maintain elite standards, and ensure great hospitality for regulars across our pub, bistro, gaming and retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publican in keeping the venue running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of staff, handling the fast‑paced lunch rush, weekend crowds and gaming operations.
• Anticipate and resolve issues before they become problems.
• Engage with customers, becoming a familiar face to locals.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as moving stock, kegs and deliveries.

Required profile

• Experience working in bar, bistro or gaming environments, with some supervisory duties.
• Confidence and people skills to represent the venue when the manager is away.
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as required by state regulations.
• Physical ability to safely perform manual handling tasks.
