Assistant Manager – Credit (Melbourne)

About the role

As an Assistant Manager you will partner with a Senior Relationship Credit Manager to oversee a portfolio of mid‑market trading businesses in Western Australia. You will apply credit and risk assessment, structure deals and work closely with Relationship Management and product partners across Trade Finance, FX, Asset Finance and Payments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Relationship Credit Manager in preparing credit papers, financial monitoring reports and loan documentation.
• Conduct financial analysis and deal structuring to support transaction execution.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer business needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Maintain a well‑managed portfolio that complies with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Deliver superior customer service to protect and grow the customer franchise.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with curiosity about client drivers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex credit environment.
• Solid knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technologically savvy and able to work autonomously.
