Assistant Educator – New Centre

About the role

Eden Academy is opening a brand‑new centre in Mambourin and is looking for enthusiastic Assistant Educators to join the team. You will work in a bright, home‑like environment that serves up to 112 children, supporting their learning and wellbeing from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm each day.

Key responsibilities

• Assist lead educators in planning and delivering age‑appropriate activities aligned with the EYLF.
• Supervise children in indoor and outdoor play areas, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of resources, toys, and learning materials.
• Build positive relationships with families, communicating daily observations and updates.
• Support health and safety procedures, including food handling and emergency protocols.

Required profile

• Compassionate, energetic individual who thrives in a fast‑paced early childhood setting.
• Committed to continuous learning and empowering children as independent learners.
• Excellent personal presentation and ability to engage with the local community.
• Two professional references, one from a manager or supervisor in childcare or education.

Required skills

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA‑approved equivalent).
• Current Food Handling Certificate.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Proficiency with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards.
• Australian working rights.
