Assistant Coordinator – OSHC (Scarborough)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our growing OSHC team at Southern Cross Catholic College, Frawley Campus in Scarborough. You will support the daily operations of before‑ and after‑school care, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Coordinator with program planning, delivery, documentation and daily operations.
• Prepare staff rosters, supervise staff and ensure compliance with policies.
• Deliver a high‑quality, inclusive educational program and supervise children during split‑shift hours (6:30 am‑8:30 am and 3:00 pm‑6:00 pm).
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment and act as Responsible Person on site when the Coordinator is absent.

Required profile

• Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA‑equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar education‑care role.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
• Child Protection training, knowledge of the National Quality Framework and related legislation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with childcare management software – Xplor preferred.
• Effective computer skills for documentation and reporting.
