Assistant Centre Director - Maternity Leave Cover

About the role

Busy Bees at Willetton is looking for an experienced Assistant Centre Director to cover maternity leave, starting immediately and running until 22 January 2027. The centre is a 72-place, fast-paced, multi-level service in Willetton, WA, where you will work alongside a Centre Director and an Educational Leader. The role is full-time and fixed-term, with a 50/50 split between non-contact and contact time.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Work with a range of systems to support administrative duties across the centre.
• Lead, mentor and inspire educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
• Current Working with Children Check for WA.
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and Child Protection legislation.
• Leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the ECEC industry.
• A collaborative, positive and supportive leadership style.
