Assistant Business Planning Manager

About the role

The Assistant Business Planning Manager supports the execution and delivery of customer-centric category plans for the Pinnacle Drinks Spirits portfolio, covering Endeavour's owned brands and International Exclusive Partner brands. Working with Business Planning, Sourcing, Supply Planning, Exclusive Brand Partners and the BWS and Dan Murphy's Merchandise teams, the role turns strategic goals into commercial and retail promotional initiatives. It is a hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in NPD development and exclusive brand launches into national retailers (BWS and Dan Murphy's)
• Support sales, profit and working capital targets through portfolio, pricing and promotional planning, and category analysis
• Deliver and maintain standardised reporting and planning tools, and build accurate demand forecasts with Merchandise and Supply teams
• Lead process improvements for NPD tracking, promotional execution and category performance management
• Support category reviews, NPD initiatives, product lifecycle management, range optimisation and in-store execution
• Build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across matrix teams

Required profile

• 5+ years of category, pricing and/or promotional management experience
• Extended commercial experience, particularly in FMCG manufacturing and/or retail
• Understanding of retail fundamentals, including P&L management and turning customer data into insights
• Stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and lead without authority

Required skills

• Advanced Google/MS Office proficiency
• SAP, JDA or GCP (Power BI or WSET qualifications are a plus)
