Area General Manager - Hotels

About the role

The Area General Manager will oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of four hotels, ensuring consistent quality, compliance and exceptional guest experiences. You will lead a team of hotel managers, drive revenue performance, and uphold brand standards across all properties.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve operational performance, addressing service issues and operational challenges.
• Guide hotel managers through coaching, direction and support to foster cohesive on‑site leadership.
• Drive revenue through pricing, yield management, forecasting and market analysis.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control and financial reporting to meet or exceed business targets.
• Collaborate on renovations, asset repositioning and development projects to align with brand strategy.
• Partner with hotel managers on local sales, marketing initiatives and commercial partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, WHS and risk‑management requirements.
• Support food and beverage operations, including menu planning, cost management and licensing compliance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement programs to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager or equivalent senior hospitality leadership role.
