Architectural Draftsperson – Residential Design

About the role

Endeavour Build is looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join its design team. You will work closely with the Design Manager on a variety of residential projects, from secondary dwellings to larger new‑build developments, contributing to both creative design and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document a range of 14 secondary dwellings, updating designs as market needs evolve.
• Prepare architectural drawings, construction details and documentation for authority lodgement and construction.
• Produce cost‑effective design solutions, select finishes and materials, and create marketing material such as plans and renders.
• Support projects from concept through feasibility, approvals and construction, coordinating with consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
• Attend sites to review outcomes, resolve construction queries and apply feedback to future designs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential architectural design and documentation.
• Bachelor of Design (Architecture) or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, planning controls and council requirements.
• Practical, construction‑focused approach with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Current driver’s licence and own vehicle for site visits.

Required skills

• Advanced ArchiCAD skills, including 3D modelling and full documentation sets.
• Proficiency with architectural rendering tools such as Twinmotion, Lumion or Enscape.
• Experience with Programa software.
