Architectural Documentor – Industrial Projects

About the role

Watson Young is seeking a skilled Documentor to support large‑scale industrial projects across Australia. You will work closely with architects, clients, consultants and builders to produce clear, coordinated documentation that brings complex designs to life.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver documentation packages on brief, on time and within budget.
• Liaise with senior architects, project leaders and associates to provide regular updates.
• Coordinate with project consultants and manage documentation timelines.
• Ensure internal QA standards are met before issuing documents.
• Support Documentor graduates or students on smaller tasks when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through project debriefs and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of architectural documentation practice and theory.
• Strong experience with Revit across concept design, design development and construction documentation.
• Industrial documentation experience (warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or distribution centres) is highly regarded.
• Experience on large‑scale commercial or similarly complex projects.
• Sound understanding of NCC (BCA & Australian Standards).
• Clear, professional communication style with proven ability to build strong client and team relationships.
