APS6 Support Needs Assessor (NDIS)

About the role

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting experienced Allied Health and health professionals to join a large-scale national project as APS6 Support Needs Assessors. The role contributes to better outcomes for NDIS participants by delivering high-quality, person-centred assessments. It is a full-time position based in South Australia (Adelaide), with an end date of 31 December 2026, possibly extended.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and interpret participant information through interviews and information gathering.
• Produce clear, consistent recommendations reflecting each participant's individual needs and circumstances.
• Analyse evidence and prepare detailed assessment reports.
• Apply a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
• Engage respectfully and clearly with participants, families and stakeholders.
• Ensure decisions align with legislation, policy and best practice frameworks.

Required profile

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Counselling/Psychotherapy) or a relevant health discipline (Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, clinician with an Education degree, NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner).
• Evidence of the qualification must be included in the CV.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to start on the specified start date.
• Desirable: experience with support needs assessments, familiarity with person-centred approaches, and experience with the I-CAN tool (not essential).
