Apprentice Rollingstock Maintainer (Electrical)

About the role

Aurizon is looking for an Apprentice Electrical to join its Rollingstock Maintenance team in Adelaide. The apprenticeship is delivered in-house, with training provided by experienced Aurizon staff, and leads to a nationally recognised qualification. It is based in the Bulk Central team and is not a FIFO/DIDO position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strong technical and safety skills while being mentored by leaders in the field and supported by the Training department.
• Proactively seek opportunities to develop trade skills and knowledge.
• Perform all work in line with workplace health and safety requirements and company standards.
• Take part in team and safety meetings and contribute to improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in the chosen trade, whether through study, work experience or hobbies.
• Energy and enthusiasm for joining or advancing a career in the rail industry.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to complete an extensive training program covering both theory and practice.
• Minimum Year 10 completion; current driver's licence preferred.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment checks, including testing, references and medical.
