Applied AI Specialist

About the role

As an Applied AI Specialist at Cloudera, you will identify, validate, and build technical conviction for high‑impact private AI use cases that can be deployed into production for large enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI discovery workshops and partner with ecosystem providers such as NVIDIA to identify and prioritize private AI opportunities.
• Conduct deep technical and business discovery with enterprise customers to scope high‑value use cases.
• Assess data architecture, governance, security, and infrastructure to determine AI readiness.
• Develop lightweight proofs of concept, reference architectures, and solution frameworks.
• Translate qualified opportunities into clear technical requirements and hand them off to Forward Deployed Engineer teams.

Required profile

• Strong technical foundation in data science with hands‑on experience in code, APIs, notebooks, and enterprise architectures.
• Proven experience in technical pre‑sales, solution architecture, consulting, or customer engineering.
• Ability to evaluate data quality, governance, security, and operational readiness for private AI deployments.
• Exceptional executive communication skills to connect business outcomes with implementation strategies.
