Applications Developer

About the role

Journey Beyond, Australia’s leading experiential tourism group, is seeking an Applications Developer to design, build and maintain web applications that support its e‑commerce strategy. The role is a 2‑year fixed‑term position working closely with internal stakeholders and the development team to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new web applications and integrations using ASP.NET, C# and related technologies.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Participate in strategic technology transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using Azure DevOps.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as AI and cloud solutions.

Required skills

• ASP.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, REST, SOAP
• SQL Server, T‑SQL
• Git source control
• Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
• Angular or React for Single Page Applications
• JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS
