Application Support Analyst – Student Internship

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Application Support Analyst intern to join our IT team in Broadmeadows. This student‑focused position offers hands‑on experience supporting end‑users, troubleshooting applications, and contributing to the smooth operation of council services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to user support requests via ticketing systems and provide timely assistance.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and document resolutions.
• Assist in testing, deploying, and patching application updates.
• Collaborate with senior staff to resolve complex technical problems.
• Maintain organized records of support tickets and follow up with users.
• Provide basic user training on application features and best practices.
• Support onboarding of new users and assist with system access provisioning.
• Contribute to support documentation and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as a student or recent graduate.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
