API Platform Developer

About the role

Join MYOB’s technology team to design, build and maintain the core platform that powers our API ecosystem. You will enable developers, improve integration capabilities and help businesses across Australia and New Zealand run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain platform capabilities for API delivery, governance and developer enablement.
• Create and support REST and GraphQL APIs, adhering to modern API standards.
• Enhance the developer experience through a next‑generation portal and full‑stack features.
• Implement authentication and authorisation patterns (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, RBAC) across services.
• Build secure, scalable, cloud‑native services on Azure and Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability, performance, observability and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in platform, backend or full‑stack engineering.
• Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns and lifecycle management.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or Google Cloud) and modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, DevOps and Agile.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a security‑first mindset.
