Analyst - Platforms Tax

About the role

As an Analyst – Platforms Tax you will join the North Investment Operations team at AMP, supporting the tax integrity of a leading wealth platform used by thousands of investors and members across Australia and New Zealand. You will act as a subject‑matter expert on member and investor tax records, ensuring that platform calculations and reporting remain compliant with Australian tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Process tax profiling of investment income and produce accurate tax reporting outputs, including IDPS statements, annual tax statements and AIIR reporting to the ATO.
• Support system implementations, test corporate‑action tax outcomes and validate cost‑base impacts of product changes.
• Respond to ad‑hoc tax queries from the Service Centre and help raise tax capability across operations teams.
• Conduct testing of platform changes and software releases to verify tax calculations remain compliant.
• Monitor and test tax calculation batch jobs, and support operational implementation of tax law updates in partnership with Group Tax.
• Ensure accuracy of annual IDPS tax statements, review and test annual tax reporting obligations, and maintain tax procedure documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in a tax, accounting or financial‑services role within a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
• Knowledge of wealth‑management products and financial‑planning processes.
• Understanding of Australian tax and accounting principles, including AMIT, AMMA and SDS tax components.
