Allied Health Assistant - Occupational Therapist

About the role

Altius Group provides rehabilitation services across Australia, covering workplace, people and employee services and disability services. As an Allied Health Assistant in the Rehabilitation Services team, you will give direct support to consultants who help workers return to work after injury or illness. The position is based in Wollongong and is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside practitioners and workers who have sustained an injury or illness in the workforce
• Help develop, implement, monitor and review the rehabilitation needs of individuals
• Support return-to-work planning for occupational rehabilitation claims, certificates of capacity and service approvals
• Assist in writing detailed reports that support workers' goals and outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date information, data and documents for each worker
• Liaise with medical practitioners and allied health professionals

Required profile

• Current 3rd or 4th year student in Occupational Therapy
• Availability of at least 3 days per week
• Full Australian working rights
• Current driver's licence and car
• Ability to obtain a Police and Working with Children Check
