Alliance Commercial Manager

About the role

Veolia is looking for an Alliance Commercial Manager to lead financial excellence and commercial strategy for the Hunter Water Alliance, a partnership delivering safe water and wastewater services. Reporting to the General Manager Finance – Water, you will be a key member of the Alliance Management Team, shaping financial direction and supporting a safety‑first, high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, including Activity Based Costing (ABC) and risk & opportunity management.
• Prepare, submit and approve monthly payment claims under the Services Alliance Agreement.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports with performance insights and Painshare/Gainshare analysis.
• Coordinate independent financial verification and implement robust financial systems and processes.
• Partner with senior leadership to set aligned financial goals and present performance analysis to Alliance stakeholders.
• Contribute to Alliance Management Team decisions on multi‑discipline issues and champion a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in a commercial role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Proven experience managing strategic partnerships or complex contracts.
• Track record in budget forecasting and client progress claims.
