About the role
The Advanced Skills Teacher (Primary) will design and deliver learning programs for primary students, monitor individual progress, and support the Principal in educational leadership and school administration. This full‑time position is based at St Marys District School, a family‑friendly rural school serving a wide catchment area.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and manage appropriate learning programs for primary students.
- Assess and report on individual student progress.
- Assist the Principal with leadership, management and administrative duties for a designated school sector.
- Contribute to a safe, child‑protected learning environment.
Required profile
- Current full registration as a teacher under the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
- Qualifications meeting the Tasmanian Industrial Commission Teaching Service Award (2005).
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) – employment status.
- Desirable: Four or more years of teaching experience as defined in the Teaching Service Award.
