Administration Officer (Oral Health Services)

About the role

The Administration Officer will provide an efficient booking and reception service for the Central Queensland Oral Health Service, ensuring a client‑focused experience across multiple regional sites. You will use the Information System for Oral Health to manage appointments, patient records, and procurement support.

Key responsibilities

• Triage patients, manage waiting lists and create appointment bookings.
• Coordinate appointment cancellations and rescheduling in a timely manner.
• Maintain electronic and paper‑based patient clinical records while upholding confidentiality.
• Assist with procurement activities following Materials Management guidelines.
• Provide financial administrative support as directed.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for internal and external client inquiries.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team and with patients.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Information System for Oral Health.
• Data entry, word processing and spreadsheet expertise.
• General computer‑based information system usage.
