Active Directory Operations Engineer

About the role

State Street is looking for an Active Directory Engineer in Sydney who can independently lead and manage large enterprise-scale Active Directory and Identity Management projects. The engineer analyses current Active Directory environments to identify technical and operational challenges and develops solutions for improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support Microsoft Active Directory in large enterprise environments
• Support Microsoft ADFS
• Support Microsoft Server (various versions)
• Troubleshoot issues using skills and methodology including DNS and WINS
• Support security initiatives related to Active Directory
• Prepare engineering documents and Standard Operating Procedures
• Work across technology teams and take part in large AD or ADFS engineering projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree
• 3-5 years of direct experience building and supporting Microsoft Active Directory in large enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft ADFS
• 3-5 years supporting Microsoft Server (various versions)
• Ability to work with little to no supervision, with high self-motivation and excellent communication skills

Required skills

• Working knowledge of AD sites, replication topology, GPOs, DNS, WINS and ADFS
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to develop engineering documentation such as requirements documents and SOPs
• Experience on security initiatives and large technical projects
