Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team supporting the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant project in Perth. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, procurement teams, and contract administrators to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier and subcontractor payments.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and process invoices against contracts, purchase orders and cost codes.
• Prepare, schedule and execute payments to vendors and subcontractors.
• Reconcile the AP ledger with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Act as the primary contact for vendor payment queries and statement reconciliations.
• Maintain compliant, organised financial records in line with company and regulatory standards.
• Support project teams with expense tracking and financial reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, AP policies, tax requirements and construction accounting standards.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
