Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team supporting the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone project. This role will ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments and reimbursements while contributing to the efficiency of financial policies and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, verification and approval of all invoices and outgoing payments in line with company policies.
• Oversee end‑to‑end processing of accounts payable transactions within the financial system.
• Ensure timely payments, balancing cash‑flow requirements with supplier payment terms.
• Process staff reimbursement claims and manage fortnightly petty‑cash disbursements.
• Facilitate issuance of remittance advices and support stakeholders with financial queries.
• Identify and drive improvements in accounts payable policies and system procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounts payable or related finance functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
• Good understanding of invoice processing, payment cycles and reimbursement handling.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
