Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead all accounting functions for CVG, ensuring accurate financial data, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and timely reporting to senior leadership. This role partners with the Managing Director, Regional Finance Director, and functional managers to drive financial performance and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end close, journal entry review, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all accounting processes are SOX, Australian and US GAAP, and statutory compliant.
• Coordinate local statutory audits and support group audits.
• Prepare annual accounts, ASIC documentation, and financial statements for internal and external audits.
• Develop, monitor, and analyse annual and monthly budgets, forecasts, and cost variances.
• Supervise inventory valuation, turnover monitoring, and optimisation strategies.
• Provide financial analysis and insights for operational decisions and capital investment evaluations.
• Maintain QMS documentation for Finance, Administration, and IT, ensuring compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and purchasing officers for PO approvals.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing full‑cycle accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of SOX, Australian and US GAAP, and ASIC reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost‑control initiatives.
• Experience with inventory control and QMS compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate financial information to senior leadership.
