Accountant – Finance Team with Commercial Exposure

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate month‑end financial reports and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and fixed asset registers.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and investigate variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.
• Process payroll, commissions and related statutory obligations.
• Assist with BAS, tax reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial support to management and operational stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvements and finance team continuity.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Minimum 3 years' financial accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of month‑end reporting and financial accounting processes.
• Experience managing payroll and statutory obligations.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation, accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Experience using Xero.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non‑financial stakeholders.
