Accountant – Client Management & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, ensure deadlines are met, and deliver exceptional service. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Accountant and Manager, gaining experience that prepares you for future senior positions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Business Activity Statements (BAS), Individual Tax Returns (ITRs) and financial statements.
• Run review processes on BAS and ITRs and communicate results to clients.
• Assist in tax planning meetings and support VCFO and management reporting sessions.
• Draft responses to client queries for senior approval.
• Track weekly utilisation and proactively communicate workload changes.
• Review and allocate mail folders, escalating uncertainties to senior staff.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and system improvements.

Required profile

• Not a graduate and not yet a senior accountant, but eager to progress.
• Strong focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Ability to take direction from senior staff and communicate proactively.
