Account Manager - Queensland

About the role

Cardinal Health, a global healthcare company based in Brisbane, is looking for an Account Manager for its Queensland team covering the Brisbane-Central territory. The role earns sales revenue for a defined territory by promoting and selling defined products to a target customer group, and by building relationships with financial influencers and decision makers to turn opportunities into sales.

Key responsibilities

• Plan work to achieve or exceed sales targets while keeping a professional image for Cardinal Health in the marketplace.
• Identify new opportunities through contracted and non-contracted portfolios and support contract lifecycle management.
• Build short-, mid- and long-term opportunities for pipeline development, prioritising them with the Regional Sales Manager.
• Solve customer problems, build positive partnerships and complete business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Educate clinical end users and hospital staff, and build relationships with key opinion leaders.
• Follow up on and resolve customer and patient technical and product issues, including after-hours support when needed.
• Carry out all activities in line with the local quality system and environmental, health and safety rules.

Required profile

• Proven sales track record in healthcare, preferably in medical devices.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude and demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Able to work both within a team and independently.
• Knowledge of the hospital healthcare system.
• Current driver's licence.
