Account Manager - Mount Isa

About the role

Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety is looking for an Account Manager for Mount Isa who will own a diverse territory across Mount Isa and surrounding regions, partnering with customers in the Mining, Utilities and Government sectors. The role is permanent and full-time, with most time spent in the field building partnerships and growing territory, working closely with the Mount Isa Operations Team.

Key responsibilities

• Build and grow customer relationships across the Mining, Utilities and Government sectors
• Spend most of the time in the field, visiting customer sites and identifying growth opportunities
• Manage and expand an existing customer portfolio while securing new business
• Develop value-driven solutions that support customer success and drive sales and profit growth
• Execute a strategic territory plan, use CRM tools to manage opportunities and work with internal teams on customer outcomes

Required profile

• Experience in account management, business development or a similar customer-facing sales role
• Proven ability to grow relationships, win new business and manage key or strategic accounts
• Strong understanding of the Mount Isa region and a track record of profitable growth
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, planning and territory management skills
• Comfortable working independently, travelling regularly and using CRM systems
