About the role

Join Dovida Academy as an Academy Trainer – NAO and deliver high‑quality training to caregivers and support teams at our State Training Centre in Blackburn. You will play a pivotal role in equipping staff with the skills and confidence needed for safe, person‑centred home care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and virtual training covering orientation, WHS, manual handling and best‑practice care topics.
• Train and assess learners completing the Certificate III in Individual Support.
• Conduct workplace observations and provide tailored coaching to caregivers.
• Manage Saba LMS administration, including enrolments, reporting and learner support.
• Adapt training delivery to meet diverse learning needs and resolve challenges in real time.
• Support other state academies when required, including occasional interstate travel.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or higher) and Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher).
• Proven experience delivering training in aged care or a similar setting.
• Confident, warm facilitator with strong organisational abilities.
• Adaptable, resilient and able to manage challenging conversations.
• Willingness to travel interstate periodically.
