Academic Lead – Associate/Professor in Occupational Therapy

About the role
We are seeking an outstanding Professor or Associate Professor to serve as Academic Lead in Occupational Therapy. The role will shape the future of occupational therapy education, research and workforce development across Tasmania and lead the Master of Occupational Therapy program.
Key responsibilities
- Drive program quality, accreditation, growth and student success for the Master of Occupational Therapy.
- Collaborate with government, health services, industry partners and local communities to strengthen allied‑health capability.
- Lead curriculum innovation, including simulation‑based education and emerging digital technologies.
- Foster a high‑performing, collaborative academic culture and mentor academic staff.
- Develop and sustain national and international research collaborations and secure competitive funding.
Required profile
- Demonstrated leadership and recognised standing in occupational therapy practice, education or research.
- Extensive experience in curriculum strategy, course development and educational innovation.
- Proven record of leading high‑quality teaching initiatives, accreditation activities and achieving outstanding student outcomes.
- Nationally or internationally recognised expertise across the lifespan in occupational therapy.
- Strong research profile with successful grant acquisition, influential publications and HDR supervision.
