3-Day IHC Educator - ECEC (Toddler)

About the role

A warm and welcoming family in Glenroy, Victoria, is seeking a caring, experienced and enthusiastic educator for a 3-day, 20-month-old toddler. The family values kindness, friendship, respect and reliability, and wants an educator who builds on the child's interests in music, dancing, reading, imaginative play and outdoor exploration, while supporting language, communication, independence and self-help skills. The position starts in early November.

Key responsibilities

• Create fun, learning experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence and independence
• Support the child's language and communication development through songs, stories, conversations and interactive play
• Guide independence and self-help skills appropriate to the child's developmental stage
• Provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment and support routines that contribute to the child's wellbeing and learning

Required profile

• Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or another IHC-relevant ACECQA-approved qualification (e.g. Bachelor Primary Education), registered with the relevant state authority
• At least 3 references
• WWCC, police check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid
• Car and driver's licence; driving not required
• Willingness to commit for at least 12 months and full working rights in Australia (some visas may be considered)
• Schedule: 3 days per week, most likely Wednesday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday; Monday and Sunday work is not possible

What we offer

• Pay of $41.94 to $47.28 per hour including tax and super (level L1-L3)
• Insurance and WorkCover costs covered by the employer, who also processes tax and super payments
