3-Day IHC Educator (ECEC)

About the role

A family in Redlynch, Queensland is looking for a calm, fun and engaging educator to care for two children: a preschooler and a school-aged child. The position is three days a week, with children aged 7 and 3 years old, and the schedule is fixed (Monday 12:00-5:00, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00-4:00). The employer covers insurance and workcover costs and handles tax and super payments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan age-appropriate activities for both children
• Take the children on fun adventures in the local community
• Create opportunities for play, learning and everyday life skills
• Recognise when emotions are rising, shift the focus calmly and help the children regulate and re-engage

Required profile

• Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or another IHC-relevant ACECQA-approved qualification such as a Bachelor of Primary Education, registered with the relevant state authority
• At least 3 references
• WWCC, police check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid
• Car and driver's licence; driving is required
• Willingness to commit for at least 12 months
• Full working rights in Australia (visas such as 190 or 186 may be considered; 417 and 462 visa holders should not apply)

What we offer

• Pay of $41.94-$53.24 per hour including tax and super, depending on level L1-L5
• Insurance and workcover costs covered by the employer
