3-Day IHC Educator (ECEC) - 4-Year-Old

About the role

A family in Alexandria, NSW is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and engaging educator to support the education and care of their 4-year-old. The role focuses on making learning fun, combining play-based experiences with school readiness and building confidence and independence through everyday life skills. It is a three-day-a-week position, with the child aged 3 years.

Key responsibilities

• Support school readiness through play, stories, games and activities
• Encourage independence and everyday life skills
• Support social and emotional development
• Take the child to explore local parks and the community
• Provide creative, hands-on learning experiences
• Build the child's confidence, curiosity and love of learning
• Be mindful of the child's immunocompromised status and communicate openly with the family about illness or potential exposure

Required profile

• Working towards or holding a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or another IHC-relevant ACECQA-approved qualification such as a Bachelor of Primary Education, and registered with the relevant state authority board
• At least 3 references
• WWCC, police check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid
• Car and driver's licence (driving not required)
• Willingness to commit for at least 12 months
• Full working rights in Australia; applicants on 417 and 462 visas should not apply

What we offer

• Pay of $41.94-$47.28 per hour including tax and super, depending on level L1-L3
