Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will lead a team in a Perth workshop that services, repairs and distributes heavy transport equipment for the haulage and mining industries.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the team to deliver high‑quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
• Manage workflow, inspect completed work, control repair specifications and conduct toolbox meetings.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality and Environmental policies.
• Train and mentor apprentices to work safely and efficiently.
• Pre‑plan daily work schedules to meet on‑time delivery targets.
• Collaborate with the parts department to streamline internal processes.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Required profile

• Trade qualified with proven experience in truck and trailer repairs.
• Previous supervisory or leading‑hand experience in an automotive trade.
• Certification such as Mechanic, HD or Repairers Certificate.
• Experience with air‑brake systems/EBS, electrical and hydraulic diagnosis, and chassis alignment.
