Works Manager

About the role

MPA is seeking an experienced Works Manager to lead post‑occupancy works, defect rectification, maintenance and small‑scale projects across commercial fit‑out and refurbishment sites. You will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver post‑occupancy works, service requests, maintenance and minor works projects.
• Complete and close out Defect Liability Period (DLP) items within required timeframes.
• Undertake minor works or coordinate trades to achieve high‑quality outcomes.
• Assist with pricing, estimating materials and labour, and coordinate subcontractor quotes.
• Supervise and manage subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery.
• Provide technical advice and clear direction to trades on site.
• Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
• Maintain accurate reporting and provide timely updates to clients on work progress.
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold MPA values across all activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing post‑occupancy and DLP works in commercial fit‑out or refurbishment projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site safety procedures.
• Excellent client communication skills and ability to provide timely updates.
• Willingness to work approximately 7 am – 3 pm with occasional Saturday work (2‑3 times per month).
