Transport Supervisor

About the role

The Transport Supervisor manages the transport section within the Transport and Logistics Department, overseeing a team of Transport Specialists to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Transport Specialists across day and shift operations, coordinating staffing and ensuring continuity of service.
• Develop and manage bus rosters, including coverage for public holidays and special events.
• Ensure transport activities comply with legislative and organisational requirements, including fleet inspections, maintenance, and defect reporting.
• Maintain compliance with Site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards and promote a safety‑focused culture.
• Maintain records of licences, endorsements and competencies for transport personnel and manage vehicle compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Australian Citizenship.
• Thorough understanding of Australian transport and logistics regulations, licensing, roadworthiness and driver fatigue management.
• Experience supervising transport operations and leading teams.
• Current Driver’s Licence, Forklift Licence with H Endorsement, HR Licence (HC Licence desirable) and First Aid certification.
• Ability to work outside regular hours for shift coverage, special events or unforeseen circumstances.
