Trade Floor Level 3 Voice Engineer - Major Bank

About the role

A major bank in Sydney is looking for a Level 3 Voice Engineer with strong IPC Systems experience. This is a 12-month contract, likely to extend or become permanent. The role suits a technically strong engineer with a solid background supporting front-office trading environments, managing complex incidents and delivering technology projects in high-pressure financial services settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support for IPC trading floor voice and communications systems.
• Deliver and support trading floor voice projects, including system deployments, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure refreshes.
• Take part in the design, implementation, testing and commissioning of IPC voice solutions.
• Support critical trading floor environments, keeping systems stable, resilient and available.
• Manage escalations with vendors and third-party support teams, driving issues to resolution.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a Level 3 voice engineering or senior support role in financial services, ideally in an investment bank or trading environment.
• Proven experience supporting business-critical voice infrastructure in a fast-paced, high-availability trading environment.
• Experience delivering technical projects alongside day-to-day BAU work.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with IPC trading floor communications systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management and root cause analysis.
