Technician – On‑site & Workshop Support

About the role

The Technician will support the Lead Technician in delivering on‑site and workshop projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. The role also involves stepping in for the Senior Technician to assist the Base Supervisor with daily job allocation when required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Technician with on‑site and workshop scopes of work.
• Provide support to the Base Supervisor for next‑day job allocation in the absence of a Senior Technician.
• Maintain a daily diary and keep work areas clean and tidy.
• Promote and market Furmanite services, products and business solutions.
• Comply with the Quality System (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000) and company policies.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards on all sites.

Required profile

• Trade qualification such as Fitter & Turner, Fitter Machinist or equivalent.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and Construction Card.
• Ability to work on‑shore, offshore and remote sites, including shift work.
• Capable of setting priorities, meeting deadlines and working with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
