Team Lead – Immediate Response Team

About the role

The Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a dynamic IT leader to head its Immediate Response Team. This permanent, hybrid position will be based in Northwest Sydney and will play a pivotal role in shaping technology strategy, driving innovation, and delivering high‑impact outcomes for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop high‑performing individuals and teams to achieve strategic and operational goals.
• Provide expert advice and deliver business‑aligned IT services across infrastructure, operations, banking, payments, business intelligence, enterprise systems, application development, security and architecture.
• Ensure operational accountability, including people management, budgeting and process optimisation.
• Drive continuous improvement and maximise the value of technology investments.
• Enhance policies, systems and processes to ensure integrity, documentation discipline and alignment with industry standards.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and opportunities to ensure consistent delivery of technology solutions.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, exceeding stakeholder expectations.
