Systems Engineer – Defence Technology

About the role

Saab Australia is seeking an aspiring Systems Engineer to join its growing team in Hawthorn, Victoria. This position offers the chance to develop systems engineering skills while supporting the delivery and sustainment of cutting‑edge defence capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse system requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
• Create system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure system requirements are met.
• Aid in the integration of hardware and software components into the system.
• Work alongside senior engineers to implement system solutions and configurations.

Required profile

• Up to 4 years of engineering experience.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance (baseline/NV1/NV2).
• Experience in complex systems is desirable.
