Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

A growing, product-based business based in Melbourne's inner east is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for a permanent position. Reporting to senior leadership, you will coordinate day-to-day supply chain activities across the business, working closely with an experienced team and internal stakeholders. The role sits alongside a new ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day supply chain activities across the business
• Manage purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on open orders, delivery dates and availability
• Monitor outstanding orders and resolve potential supply issues
• Maintain accurate supply chain, product and supplier data
• Use Excel to manipulate, cleanse and manage data, especially during the ERP transition
• Help capture and document key processes and knowledge with the existing team
• Identify process improvements and introduce more modern ways of working
• Support new product development from a supply chain perspective

Required profile

• Experience in supply chain coordination, purchasing, inventory or a similar role
• Experience working with suppliers, purchase orders and stock availability
• ERP experience is required; exposure to a system implementation is advantageous
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or consumer products is beneficial
• Calm, patient and collaborative approach, with a proactive, outcome-driven mindset

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills, including XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, formulas and data manipulation
• ERP experience
