Structural Engineer – Adelaide

About the role

Join a leading global consulting engineering firm and play a critical role in shaping the built environment. This hybrid position in Adelaide offers a supportive, collaborative team where innovation and quality are paramount.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate structural design and documentation for local and national building projects.
• Develop structural components using software such as Space Gass, ETABS, Microstran and Strand7.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with technical standards, client requirements and Robert Bird Group guidelines.
• Produce engineering reports and support tender proposals.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, project managers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
• Engage with clients alongside Project Directors and Associates.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with a focus on structural engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in an engineering design consultancy.
• Strong grounding in steel and concrete design.
• Proficiency with Australian codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full working rights in Australia.
