Site Supervisor – Construction

About the role

Built Environs, the construction brand of the McConnell Dowell Group, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join its Victorian team. You will act as a key liaison between the Project Manager, subcontractors, and on‑site personnel to ensure safe, on‑time delivery of complex building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the site logistics plan, covering amenities, traffic management, cranage, hoisting, security and waste handling.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure work aligns with the scope, programme and quality standards.
• Obtain, review and approve Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) before any subcontractor starts work.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with specifications, drawings and QA check sheets.
• Coordinate storage of Built Environs and subcontractor materials on site.
• Work with the Project Coordinator to implement and monitor the QA plan throughout the project.
• Promote safety and environmental awareness among all site personnel.

Required profile

• Trade background with solid construction experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to perform under high‑pressure situations.
• Willingness to stay current on WHS, industrial relations, QA and environmental matters.
• Commitment to the company’s “Home Without Harm” safety philosophy.
• Australian permanent residency.

Required skills

• Review and approval of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
• Implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) processes on construction sites.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
