Site Governance Supervisor

About the role

ALSGeochemistry has created a new opportunity for a Site Governance Supervisor to join its Townsville operations. The role sits at the heart of the site's safety culture, working closely with Operations, HSE and Maintenance teams to keep people safe, manage hazards and stay compliant. It is a full-time position with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Champion hazard reporting and drive a positive safety culture across the site
• Work with Operations, HSE and Maintenance to implement solutions and close out hazard reports
• Carry out daily inspections and site walkthroughs
• Support employees with medical appointments and doctor visits
• Lead risk assessment projects with sectional leaders
• Maintain monthly HSE playbooks with Operations and HSE teams
• Keep the compliance tracker and HSE portal up to date

Required profile

• Genuine passion for safety and people
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
• Able to build rapport and trust quickly across all levels of the organisation
• Calm, organised and common-sense approach to problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Eligible to work in Australia (citizen or permanent resident, or valid working visa)

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong computer literacy and numeracy
