Senior Quantity Surveyor – Head Contractor – ASAP Start!

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established boutique cost consultancy in Sydney, working as a head contractor on commercial refurbishment and fit‑out projects. The role offers immediate start for the right candidate and provides a clear path for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and submission of head contractor payment claims.
• Prepare and submit variations.
• Support scope development for subcontractors, consultants and supplier packages.
• Assist the procurement process.
• Maintain, review and manage a register of subcontract variations.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier payments.
• Prepare payment schedules and financial reporting.
• Conduct cost management, cash‑flow forecasting and financial analysis.
• Provide support on quantum and construction‑related dispute matters.
• Perform contracts administration duties.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good negotiation abilities.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
