Senior Project Manager – AI & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale AI and infrastructure deployment programmes across multiple sites in Australia and globally. This 12‑month contract role will be based in Sydney and will drive end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring and closure.
• Deliver large‑scale AI and infrastructure projects across multiple regions, managing scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, baselines, dependencies and resource allocations.
• Establish governance processes, reporting structures and project controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, business leaders, technical teams, vendors and external partners.
• Communicate progress, risks, issues and decisions to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, costs and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues and change requests.
• Lead cross‑functional, geographically dispersed teams and coordinate internal resources, contractors and vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise technology or network environments.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale infrastructure programmes across 100+ locations globally.
• Experience working in customer‑facing or professional services settings.
• Strong stakeholder management and financial/commercial oversight capabilities.
