Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

About the role

IGS, a leading specialist engineering services company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Sydney office. The role will involve delivering high‑quality mechanical design for building services projects across Australia’s most high‑profile developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical engineering designs for building services projects.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Produce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD and, where applicable, Revit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams delivering electrical, fire, hydraulic, lift and ESD services.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Australian mechanical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of building services engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• AutoCAD proficiency; Revit experience is a plus.
